THE VSSA STORY
Our founder Tony Murdaca started in the automotive smash repair business over 40 years ago and established 37 vehicle smash repair shops across Melbourne.
However, Tony became increasingly frustrated at the Australian Insurance industry’s ever increasing drive to prioritise profits over quality repairs and safety.
As a result Tony founded IVIC in 2006, dedicated to inspecting cars to determine if they are safe on Australian roads for their owners and occupants. VSSA was founded in 2020 to work with IVIC and assist customers in making claims against their insurance companies to get their poorly collision-repaired vehicles rectified or replaced.
Over 52 Combined years of Smash Repair Industry experience
Tony founded both IVIC and VSSA and has since inspected, tested and assessed thousands of post collision cars for safety.
During 2018 and 2019, Tony Murdaca, Remy van de Wiel QC and Robert Richter QC worked together to formulate, establish and implement a business and team of highly skilled and knowledgeable industry professional who, like themselves, are dedicated to ensuring that cars on Australian roads are safe.
With more than 40 years of automotive industry experience, Tony Murdaca has paved the way for vehicle safety on Australian roads.

THE VSSA WAY
Recently, a family of five visited us for a free initial safety inspection. Our experts determined that the vehicle was structurally unsafe and the family, including three children were at serious risk of injury/death should their vehicle be involved in a collision.
VSSA arranged for a hire car for the family, lodged a claim with their insurance company and were able to negotiate a settlement to replace the family car, including three brand new child seats.
This type of outcome is what VSSA strives to achieve for it’s customers to keep them safe and non-crashworthy vehicles off the road.
